Service Description

The course covers topics such as medication administration techniques, medication storage and handling, medication documentation, and legal and ethical considerations related to medication administration. The Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) requires that all unlicensed personnel who wish to administer medication in assisted living facilities or adult family care homes must complete the 6 Hour Med Tech course and pass a competency exam. Upon successful completion of the course and exam, individuals will receive a Med Tech certificate.
